Some people are saying that feminism should be women’s equality with men, and that it isn’t that. While, there’s a bunch of ways to look at feminism. I’m going to take you back in time with my personal blue time machine. Quote to penguin “‘Here we go!'”
I have recently been shocked with why feminism is getting so many dirty responses. And then there’s some people who are just pointing out good points. Like this one woman, who says that men are actually getting the worst experiences. Yes, this Lauren Southern is -very in fact- true. She points out some valid points on her post, link provided: https://www.facebook.com/OnlyForMenInterest/videos/682416128557143 If anybody I know is reading this, please don’t tell my parents I snooped there! 🙂 These people have pointed out valid points to situations I’m discussing shortly.
Titled Situations I’m Discussing Now
Feminism was originally the act of becoming equal with men-but now people are starting to think that women are going over the top with their campaign when supposedly ‘the war is already won’. Or is it? Woman are still projected to stereotypes today. Feminism to me is simple: I want the best for girls like me. I don’t want stupid stereotypes. I get you want to be models, but please don’t put yourself in just your underwear on the billboards I’m going to pass on my way to school! Women can be free to be anything they want: and so be a model! But put the engineers, the amazing woman who are making a difference, up on the billboards too. Because they make difference too.
So now you know half the story. To sum it up, that first part was about stereotypes and the best for girls today. No supreme pressure to be beautiful should be around girls- just because they’re skinny, doesn’t mean they’re nice or happy or smart or bold or smiling when you take photos of them. There. Now lets move on.
Malala. Beautiful inside out. She made a difference. And even though she’s far away, she’s inspired woman across the US. The next step for feminists is to help woman out there who aren’t USA citizens. Now we don’t have to be Hermione Grangers when we approach this situation. As feminists, we especially shouldn’t force woman to suddenly join us in this worth while journey. So next time someone hold up a poster, link this to them. Because being a feminist is about equality for women- and now we need to fix the patches in our system. The ones that made feminists want to crawl into a hole. Because feminists can be menifests too. Support equality for everyone and don’t encourage stereotypes! Can’t say that enough! Now heading to the present, who would like some tea?
